Review on Camco 90 Degree Water Faucet: Convenient RV Fresh 🚰 Water Inlet for Outdoor Use - Lightweight & Lead Free (22463) by Rob Parsons

Great idea Poor execution but with REALLY CAMCO plastic hose guard

I thought it was a great idea and a very easy way to add a hose guard to the outside of my camper, but subsequent assembly went awry with a nice brass tee and a gray plastic hose bib. Really Camco. That's the best you can offer consumers. Before I read the review I knew I would replace that cheap plastic bib with a brass bib that my childhood was spent growing up on a farm replacing my fair share of leaky seals and you can't beat a brass tube bib because the washing machine is replaced, when it no longer seals properly, you can replace it, and secondly, you don't have to worry every time you use it if it breaks at that time. Black rubber grommet held in place by a brass screw, these washers are available at almost any hardware store, usually in packs of more than one for only a few dollars, the plastic appears to be glued on. You can see from my photos they are almost the same, only the plastic around the cut off neck is bigger due to the screw threads. My usage will be very minimal with a water hose, but if I use it this way I will use something to reduce the weight of the hose. hanging on a breastplate

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
