My Ultrabook is running Windows 8.1, which also doesn't have a CD drive. I've downloaded the Win8 webcam drivers, but I'm having trouble using the Skype or Windows Camera app. I solved this problem with the following two solutions: - Completely uninstall the Lifecam program so that Windows only uses the "Standard" driver. But you don't have a way to completely disable autofocus. Every time you use the camera, you should turn it off. To disable autofocus completely, install the Windows7 drivers from Microsoft's website for your Windows8.1 operating system. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/lifecam-hd-6000-for-laptop everything works for me
