Reading other reviews and information about it I thought it was a good price and product. Heats up just as quickly as other kettles I've had. The blue light is a fun feature, but that's about it, it doesn't do much more than just let you know when it's heating up. I wish I had thought of these things before buying: - it's glass - so it gets hot and it also loses heat very quickly so unless I drink all the water quickly I have to reheat it for a 15-20 minutes. The double insulated kettle keeps the temperature MUCH longer. - The hole in the top is non-removable, making access and cleaning difficult (not that big of a problem with stainless steel because even if there is mineral build-up you don't see the inside of the double insulated kettle) - the knob on the lid comes off not easy to open with hot water inside - so it is difficult to pour water into the kettle when it has cooled down a bit due to the fact that it is made of glass. - My neck is badly screwed on the container, and it flows from the neck to the bottom, leaving a little puddle of the kettle at the bottom every time I pour. I'll try to return and buy a double insulated one with a removable lid.
