I love making tea and sometimes temperatures below boiling point are best for delicate teas. This allows me to stop the kettle before it boils, depending on the size of the water bubbles. Not all kettles allow different temperatures and it's good to have a clear control panel to see how it's boiling. It cooks very quickly, faster than a kettle on the stove.

So the kettle is great, looks good and works as it should for heating water. However, they decided to save on the opening mechanism of the kettle lid. After two uses, the button to open the lid does not work. You can click it 15 times and the lid won't open like it should. Very annoying and annoying. Finally had to get a butter knife to open the lid. Otherwise pretty disappointing for such a good kettle.

The description of the kettle reads "...because the plastic doesn't touch the boiling water inside, including the lid because we cover it with a layer of solid stainless steel." That is a lie The inner lid is not made of stainless steel, looks like aluminium, but the hinges for the lid are made of plastic and are located inside the kettle. I bought this two weeks ago hoping to finally find a kettle without plastic. I washed by hand. I then used it several times and noticed a strange plastic taste and smell. There are no plastic parts inside so I was confused. I figured it might just be a manufacturing or shipping material issue, so I added some vinegar to the water and boiled it off to see if I could get rid of the smell. Then I hand cleaned it again. Reading other reviews and information about it I thought it was a good price and product. Heats up just as quickly as other kettles I've had. The blue light is a fun feature, but that's about it, it doesn't do much more than just let you know when it's heating up.
