Personal soundbar in portable speakers and docking stations

over the ear, and they're all in different situations effectively. But they insulate and my ears tend to get hot and uncomfortable over time. A problem in our house, I like to listen to TV much louder than the rest of the family, especially rock concerts which I love, but I don't think I'll be able to go back to them for a very long time due to the pandemic. My solution is the Sony SRS-WS1 Portable Neck Speakers. These aren't headphones, they're not Bluetooth, but they do come with a cable so they plug into a standard audio jack. Instead, they come with a transmitter that connects to the TV with a digital optical cable (supplied). Also included is a charging dock for portable speakers. Once you set up digital audio for PCM output, the portable speakers work to provide personalized audio so you can still hear and talk to other people in the room. The TV sound is turned down for others in the room and amplified for me. On the left side inside the portable speaker is an easy-to-use volume rocker, while on the right side there is a power button and a vibration control button. Yes, there are vibrations to enhance the experience. Sound comes out of the neck speakers, so tilting your head left or right changes the volume. The benefit for me is that I get amplified sound, they seem to have a limited use case which is mostly TV and gaming and that suits me well. They are light in color and I am concerned that over time they may form a ring around the color, time will tell. My best analogy for portable neck speakers is a personal soundbar. It was very easy to set up and comes with all the necessary ports, cables and power adapters.

Pros
  • MINIMUM AUDIO LATE Uses RF technology to ensure you see exactly what you hear on screen (not Bluetooth)
Cons
  • Not bad
