Great for the hearing impaired!

I received my Sony Submersible Portable Speaker and I had to test it right away. Unpacking is very easy, no hard plastic to cut. Set up was surprisingly easy too. The instructions were simple and concise. Just a few steps to set up, charge your speaker and get started! I have a mother who is hard of hearing and I thought it would be great for her. You can wear them without putting anything in your ear to further block your hearing if someone enters your room and wants to speak. Headphones do…

Good idea, should have been better

I've had them for about 3 months now. I've used them a little. My hearing is no longer the same. One of the reasons I bought them was for the extra boost and also to be like a neighbor and not turn on the TV. To that end he was successful. Another benefit I like is that I can walk into the kitchen or another room and still listen at the same volume. Good bonus. However, the range is limited. Walls and distances will definitely affect the signal. The sound is interrupted. With walls, the range…

OK. I know it's expensive. I got mine from the Revain store - I was incredibly lucky and it was literally *perfect* and cost around 180 (still expensive). So. if you get over it. For me it's GREAT because I have 3 whippets and only play late at night (around 1-2am). I used to keep the volume down (it stinks) or wear headphones, but after a while I got uncomfortable with them. I had headphones that I plugged into the controller and that was fine, but I still wanted to hear the "real world" if my

Excellent sound in the open air

What can I say, the Sony SRS-WS1 headphones are simply awesome! As soon as I opened the box, I was struck by how well put together they were. As soon as I took them out of the box I saw that they were well balanced and easy to carry on my shoulders, felt very comfortable and felt like I could wear them for hours. I particularly like the soft lining on the inside, so the skin-to-skin contact comes from a soft fabric material rather than hard plastic. Attention to detail is very important when…

A real game (and movie) changer!

Sony WS1 Immersive Wearable Speaker This lightweight 11.82 ounce speaker is incredible! You can hear your surroundings while wearing it, but you can also turn up the volume on your TV, game console or other device without disturbing your surroundings. You can even connect 2 devices at the same time if you want. To really enhance the immersion experience, this Sony portable speaker is equipped with vibration control. That means you really feel like you're part of the movie you're watching or the

over the ear, and they're all in different situations effectively. But they insulate and my ears tend to get hot and uncomfortable over time. A problem in our house, I like to listen to TV much louder than the rest of the family, especially rock concerts which I love, but I don't think I'll be able to go back to them for a very long time due to the pandemic. My solution is the Sony SRS-WS1 Portable Neck Speakers. These aren't headphones, they're not Bluetooth, but they do come with a cable so…

Ideal for people with hearing problems.

Sony WS1 Immersive Portable Speaker - Amazing concept! I have had hearing loss since childhood. It's not bad enough to justify a hearing aid, but sometimes it interferes with my daily life. I have a partial audio loss, which means I'm missing certain audio levels. I have several reality shows that I enjoy watching from time to time. I've found that when I watch these shows, I either have to turn the TV up to a very high volume, which is unfair to other family members, or, as I usually do, I…
