Extremely low quality LEDs/chips

I bought a 3.2 foot spool of these 144 ws2812b LEDs. I checked the strip and half didn't work. Some of them will glow/flicker in different colors, or a group of them will glow but in a different hue. not to mention that some looked cloudy. I could go back and try another set (I thought it was just a bad band and wanted to clear my doubts) and the same thing happened again - I know. I should know better. I believe these are inferior chips compared to other manufacturers. I recommend Alitove or even Adafruit.
