Operates on 70 volts DC but will burn if there is no current limit from the b+ power input cable. Guess how I know this, yes I also plugged in my 70 volt battery from my electric scooter all night and in the morning it was dead. Repeated this at a test voltage of 12 volts and they work fine. 70 volts is my maximum DC voltage, so I tested at that voltage. I also compared them to the voltages on my Fluke meter and they differ by only 0.1 volts. Very simple, a black ground wire, a red B+ wire and a yellow one for the voltage measurement.
