I have replaced the steel wheels on my motorhome with aluminum wheels. The ring nuts that came with the steel wheels were fine. What I didn't like was that I now had fewer threads sticking out of the alloy wheels. I remember seeing nuts with extended threads. They work perfectly! I set the torque wrench to 90 Ft LBS. Driven 25 miles, stopped at rest stop to check nuts were tight. I was able to do 1/8 turn at 90 ft LBS. When I stopped to refuel I checked again, I was able to turn the nut 1/16 turn. When I got to my destination, they were right! Ideal.
