Great item - great price

I recently purchased a total of five steel core American Quarters from various vendors including one. Others cost 2-3 times more money. The quality of this neighborhood was on par with others. They can all be seen and no one will know unless they get close to the magnet of course. There's another reason I love this particular quarter - it's an old style with a stretched out eagle on the back. It is easily recognized as a quarter. The new statehood quarters are great, but there are so many designs on the back that none of them are easy to spot. Of the four blocks of state I have, no two are alike. It is very difficult to exchange coins if they are not exactly the same. A year can have several drawings. All quarters from 1932 to 1998 are similar, heads and tails (except for the date, of course). Easy to change, even if not of the same year. My coin is from 1932 and has average signs of wear for a coin that was withdrawn from circulation in the 1990's. I'm not an expert, but probably VG or VG+ condition. This block style has aged well and retained all of the detail. I like mine, it's way better than I expected.

Pros
  • Great design
