Works exactly as expected, but would have given 5 stars if the blue LED wasn't so stupidly bright. Mine is hard wired to the cigarette lighter and ground and is constantly hot. If you install this in the console, the blue light (indicating the device has power) is not a problem. I just mark mine with a spot of black paint. I've bought many of these over the years and added them to trailers and trucks. Each of them is equipped with a too bright power indicator.
