I'm not sure who is the authority on such things or how you rate a turkey feather. Labeling something as Class A doesn't matter if there isn't a written standard available that has been endorsed and accepted by a reputable organization - as far as I can tell it's just a marketing tactic. I know the pen we received is actually a pen. It looks like the image on the product page but is lumpy in a few spots and not what you would describe as "pristine". If I had to come up with a random grading system for turkey feathers, I would call it "C". Update: After a quick google search, there is indeed a feather rating system, but it only applies to collecting rare feathers through the site. A numerical scale of 1 to 4 (and 4M) appears to apply. So Class A only seems to be validated as a marketing tactic. Keep this in mind. There is no such thing as "everything” for turkey feathers.
