I was torn between the two sets. I have a lot of blue trim on my dinnerware and serving pieces, so I was leaning toward the blue, but the other set looked like so much fun and I wanted pink for myself, so the colorful set won out. But I don’t think you could go wrong with either. I love that the bowls are ceramic, which is neither too heavy nor too light and the swirl pattern in the glaze. There are a few dips and waves in the glaze that are only noticeable in certain light and don’t detract at all from the shiny finish. The little black speckles add to the rustic charm of these bowls.These bowls will be versatile. Soup, pasta, stew, and salad come to mind, of course, but they’d also work for a dinner that may have some sides, like rice or corn, that might slip off a dinner plate. They’re also large enough to use as a small serving bowl, making a colorful addition to a buffet. Or perhaps for lunch, with a sandwich, chips, and fruit. Everything tastes better when eaten from a pretty plate!
