Review on 🧳 Sulky 12x12 Iron-On Tear-Away Stabilizer Roll: Perfectly Stable Crafting Companion! by Dawn Fischer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow, that's awesome

I tried to sew some large appliqués onto jerseys on my embroidery machine, but I couldn't. I may not have tried everything, but I've tried so many things. Enter Totally Stable. A little light merging on the wrong side of the knit, and voila! Knitwear (in my case t-shirts and sweatshirts) I can pull tight without stretching in any direction. (Wow!) Then I can make my appliqué, iron it, wash it, do whatever you want with it and it'll be fine. I used to have a lot of ugly lumps when pressing, but nothing more. (***A NOTICE: The applique still needs a cut stabilizer under the seam, therefore the embroidery can withstand repeated washing and ironing. ***) I used to hear a lot of bad things about Sulky products. Now I understand that the people who tell these stories (mostly sales people) tell them because they don't have sulky products. This one is particularly amazing.

Pros
  • Sulky Tear-Away Stabilizers are made from non-woven fabrics that won't stretch in any direction.
Cons
  • Little things
