Assembly and installation is well illustrated and easy, this wasn't the easiest or most complex fan I've installed. Although I would welcome a slightly larger ceiling panel to make it easier to accommodate the workspace. I ended up fully assembling the fan and then hanging it instead of trying to install the blades and lamp over my head with my hands. The lead wires are approximately 3 feet longer than the included bottom bar, so you can mount it to higher ceilings by purchasing a longer bottom bar. THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED WITH THE FAN1) After installing the fan and making sure it works with the remote control, download the FansIO app on your phone or tablet.2) Follow the instructions to to create a login. 3) Click the "Add Device" button or select the plus sign in the upper right corner, the menu will open. four). Scroll down and select "Other" and then the "Other WiFi" icon. 5) Select your WiFi (should be 2.4GHz, NOT 5GHz) and then enter your WiFi password. 6). The next pop-up screen will ask you to make sure the light is blinking. IGNORE THE QUESTION, IF YOUR REMOTE WORKS WITH A FAN THE WAY THE LIGHT BLINKS, NEXT PRESS THE CIRCLE TO CONFIRM THE LIGHT BLINKS. 7) Give the app up to 3 minutes to find the ceiling fan. Once that happens, you can rename it to any app. CONNECT TO ALEXA Add a device in the Alexa app as if you were using any smart home item. So when the app looks for new devices, look for 2. One of them is a ceiling fan or whatever you renamed it, the second struck me as "light15". Then I renamed it Light for the living room. I was calling customer service on the number provided on the cover of the manual when I was having trouble bypassing the part of the app where the 'light should be blinking'. Let me tell you what great customer support I've received from Candice and Yesha! Although they can only help with the mechanical end of the fan I was happy to speak to them. Thank you ladies! Eventually I contacted the FansIO developer through the App Store and James' customer support followed my relationship with the ladies. He quickly painted me and voila, now I can tell Alexa to control the fan and light from the bed. Man I love this thing and the people behind the development. Now my fan works without any problems via the FansIO app, voice control and remote control. I give the fan 5 stars and the people who helped me 10! Thanks very much!
