This is the first time I wear compression stockings. I have varicose veins, inherited from my grandmother. This year, the veins below the knees are very visible and pronounced. Spider veins stain my knuckles with pinhead-sized purple spots on the surface of my skin. One bulged as if trying to escape my leg while spilling a small amount of fluid. Realizing there was no escape, I searched for simple answers and cures for my illness. I decided to start with these socks. Pros:** They're thin and light. That means if you're wearing lace-ups or sneakers you can wear a second pair of socks over them to match your outfit or to keep you warm in winter.** They last all day. I'm 6ft 2ft and these socks hit just below the knee. When you walk, use the elliptical trainer, or stand for long periods of time, they tend to stay at the same height. They've been washed and dried a few times but they still hold their height and last all day**. Now I can jump over tall buildings in one jump. WELL . . ., Lego buildings built by grandchildren. do you work My little raised dots went underground again, or rather, deeper under my skin. My veins are still prominent, even in stockings. Although not so much. Sometimes while standing, I'll put my toes on, lean forward, and look down my legs to see if the veins are getting bigger. I can't tell because the head down makes me dizzy. Although I suspect they work better with tight socks. I'm not sure if I need high pressure socks. Before wearing these socks I had no swelling or pain, just the symptoms already described. As soon as there is a vaccine against the coronavirus I will consult with my doctor for a full study and recommendations. I do not wish to visit medical facilities or dentists during this pandemic. I am now ordering 6 more packs of these stockings.
