I've been looking for a firmer seat cushion for my chair for a long time. I no longer have a disc pad in my lower spine at L5. Chairs are known for being soft so I bought the hardest I could find but unfortunately it turned out to be too soft. This company was just the right size for my chair. I would rate it as very, very durable - actually little compression. I was very happy when I discovered this when opening the packaging. It instantly assumes full size. I also bought a firm semicircular pillow for the lumbar area. Luckily my chair has zippered compartments. Also see my review on it. One thing to note This means that a full inch of the depth of the pillow you ordered will remain if you wrap the pillow core around the pillow before inserting the pillow. Another thing to consider is that the compression is so light that my feet are about 1.5 inches off the ground. I'll probably cut the legs of detachable chairs an inch shorter.
