So the aerator itself gets 5 stars. The aerator is fun to watch and definitely helps open up some of the harder $20 reds so they taste better. I definitely recommend turning the bottle completely upside down for the best results. This can create a bit of a mess though, so I have to make sure the tip of the aerator is in the glass when pouring, otherwise an accidental drop or two will pop off the tip of the aerator and end up in the glass. my shirt I've found that on some bottles the rubber seal only fits in two or three rings, so it's important not to try to squeeze it flush with the bulge. Unfortunately, the included stand gets 1 star. . Shaped like a bottle, it holds the aerator in a convenient upright position with a drain hole to allow the aerator to dry between uses. This is great for keeping your aerator safe and preventing it from tipping over. Unfortunately, the base is not very well made and just broke off when I pulled out the aerator. See image. Very disappointing but also funny was the prominent "Made in China" sticker which I noticed on the underside of the base when I lifted it up to inspect it after it broke.
