Review on Nelson-Rigg Stormrider Waterproof Rain Suit for Enhanced Protection by Jessie Drury

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Warm up and just say a few hiccups.

Repels rain very well and keeps me warm on my bike even in heavy rain. That being said, I have a few complaints: the bottom of the zipper on one side needs reinforced stitching. It started shrinking pretty quickly after a few uses. The jacket fits perfectly, although there is some material on the wrists, even compared to the rest of my gear. It can be a bit fiddly, but once you get used to it, it's not that bad. I'd happily buy the jacket and pants separately - the jackets are perfect, but the pants are quite tight around the hips (probably since I'm a woman and most clothes are made for men) when I'm on a bike. This makes it difficult and uncomfortable for me to get my feet off the ground while cycling etc. Stirrups for your boots work great but I have other rain pants that have stirrups that snap onto your boots and I find it a little less fiddly to get them on properly position as a fixed rubber band. But it's probably personal preference. Update 6/2018: Last spring (2017) I noticed that my elbows and hands got wet while driving even in light rain/water. In early 2018, the lining crumbles even when touched. I just want to replace the jacket as I have found that a different brand fits my pants. I wiped the crap out of him so I feel like he's held up well.
