We really liked this deep fryer. We used it basically every day. It was a five star product. But it's only been five months since we bought it and now it won't turn on. In the past few weeks, we've also started noticing some other strange things. Sometimes it turned itself off before the timer was up. We also noticed that when the door was opened it stayed on and continued to cook, although it had never done that before. When you open the door it stops immediately until you close the door again and this was one of our favorite features. But as long as it worked, we could ignore these little things. However, when we tried to use it today, we found that it wouldn't turn on at all. We switched it around and tried different outlets and also tested the switch to no avail. Incredibly disappointed as we have highly recommended this fryer to others as we were absolutely in love. But now we have nothing to present. 1 out of 5 stars. Update 2 weeks in advance: Temporarily fixed and it started overheating dangerously. So we just gave up. Last update: We ended up buying a Costco air fryer because we knew they actually have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. It's the Kalorik 26-Quart Digital Maxx Air Fryer Oven, in case anyone's interested. The oven function isn't as powerful as the Revain, but still works well. Although the Airfryer feature is just as good. It's a close second, and it can always be returned without issue, so there's a lot to think about.
