I bought this to solder some wires in my camper van. When I first filled it up, it took a short while. I found that I had to give the fuel more time to load. The lighter button worked great and after 10-15 seconds it was hot enough to use. There is a control valve and a shut-off valve for temperature control. The tip is detachable if you only need hot air. The package does not include fuel and must therefore be purchased separately. It's a handy little device, very light and short so you can get into tight spots if needed. No flame is visible, but it glows red-orange from vents near the top. So far, so good. I like it.
