My beta fish love this heater! Much happier since I plugged it in! Temperature control is off by two degrees, but a second thermometer helps make sure you're the one with the heat. I figured it's just because the heater is in the water that's directly surrounded by it, so it always thinks the water is hotter than it actually is. The water on the opposite side of my tank is slightly colder. Although it works great! It's just as easy to set up.
