Review on Foldable Wooden Dog Ramp for Small Pets - Ideal for Beds, Furniture, or Vehicles Under 80lbs - PETMAKER Pet Supplies by Fred Khalifa

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works well as a preventative measure for active dogs

Pros: Attractive natural chocolate colored wood, light and manoeuvrable. Dogs come up and down easily. Takes up little space. Inexpensive. I found that ramps cost more than stairs. Cons: The fabric feels like suede and is slick. No clutch at all. It takes up little space because it is very steep (a problem for dogs that move slowly). The ramp glides over the parquet floor. There is a 3 inch gap between the top of the ramp and my bed. It doesn't bother my dogs, but I can see that it's a problem for some. to relieve the joints by jumping up and down. Gizmo has a luxating patella (patella that moves in place). This condition worsens over time. Although Gizmo and Rocket are both otherwise healthy, I wanted a preventive measure to relieve their joints. Both took the ramp quickly. I trained with treats. that they hit the ground too hard when descending, so I bought a soft mat. Such a rug is used for people who stand on their feet to avoid fatigue. It grips the ground well and provides a soft landing. It also helps prevent the ramp from slipping. I bought it from Revain for $27. Worth buying. to be used in combination with this ramp on the floor or other than carpet. I would say that this ramp is best used as a preventive measure against stress on the joints. Best suited for medium-sized to small agile dogs. While this was a good decision for my dogs, I have given it three stars for the shortcomings I have listed. Unfortunately, this does not work for many dogs.
