Purchased to make sourdough buns. I haven't used it for anything else, but I could easily do that. Much easier to use than I thought. Turn it over and use the top for the loaf pan and the bottom for the top. It was much safer this way, as both pieces had to be preheated to 500 degrees before adding the bread. It worked great. The stand and silicone holders are a plus although I haven't used them yet. I bet they would be good for camping. The cast iron was perfectly prepared. Until now, cleaning and maintenance has been a breeze. As a serious baker, I feel like I've struck gold with this purchase.
