Dorman 911-214 canister purge valve for my 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited fixes an issue I had with the EAVP system. First they inspected the carbon filter and vapor lines, changed the gas cap, and then the purge valve. I had the problem that the check engine light came on immediately after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. The trouble code is P0442 and the 'Gas Tank Cap' light is flashing intermittently. Replace the purge valve and the engine light went out.
