This scale displays weight in pounds or kilograms. A word of caution, you attach the scale to your luggage, lift the scale and luggage, and wait for the luggage to stabilize and the weight to lock into place. If you're trying to get as close to 50 pounds as possible and don't have the strength to keep 50 pounds on the scale, you might find this scale a bit difficult to use. Unless you need to gain every last pound, the weight on the scale doesn't change much and should be reasonable. Enjoy.
