does not rub, protects against the sun, but is short-lived if used regularly.

That's the thing about these rashguards - they're true to size, which means they LIGHTEN THE SKIN (which is their purpose - they're designed for watersports, and any flapping of the fabric creates drag , which reduces speed and efficiency.) So if you're looking for a comfortable shirt to wear while lounging at the beach or pool, go up a few sizes. I'm a long distance swimmer, I'm 5ft 4" and 120lbs, I have fairly broad shoulders and wear a small one but it fits me. It's definitely not comfortable, but it doesn't chafe, doesn't build up, and protects my skin from the hot Florida sun pretty well. I still get a tan with it but it's nothing compared to the dark tan that appears on my skin on my legs so it works. The big issue with these "is quality control. I've found that every color EXCEPT black pretty much breaks down after a week or two of daily wear. Black lasts for weeks with regular sun exposure and pool chemicals/environmental elements. The color version (I have both blue and Tried white) just seems to turn into a baggy, see-through, see-through fabric in some uses, even with proper care and rinsing well after use. White colors are much better than colored ones. Here's a tip: leave the After going to the pool, DO NOT dry out the rashguard while wearing it. As you dry, it will stretch and not return to its original size. If you want the rashguard to be a little loose, that's fine, but if you're after one Rashguard for watersports are looking for sport and you need it to stay tight, it is very important to keep it fit, doesn't rub ht and does not protect from the sun, not so good that it does not last long. But go black if you can.
