The HMOOC Heavy Duty S-Hooks live up to their name as they are thick enough to support a significant amount of weight. However, if you are going to hang something from it, you should consider whether the chain or rack you are attaching these S hooks to can support the weight. Those S hooks don't give way, but something else might. Be careful, these are universal hooks. I use them to hang my BBQ utensils and other utensils on a rack in my closet. I also use them to hang potted plants on the porch and to hang a hummingbird feeder from a shepherd's crook. Because of their size, they can be hung on bars that smaller hooks won't fit. These hooks come in handy and I like to keep a few in my kitchen drawer just in case.
