This mic was purchased to be used as the primary zoom mic as all other mics had issues. The mute button is handy. The sound quality is definitely good enough for a " speaking voice", making it a great addition to Zoom. I would NOT make this my first choice for use on musical instruments or singing, although it could come in handy as an inexpensive secondary microphone. The included mini tripod is in Fine, but the 5/8" thread means I can screw it straight onto a cheap mic stand: no separate mic clip is required, so the mic won't slip or fall off.
