Stick to the lowish heat it'll be fine
I washed and dried as soon as I got it. I noticed that if you stick within 300°F and 330°F that it works really well and there isn't any melting of the hair. I blew dryed it before straightening it. I treated it like I would my own and it worked out great. It's so smooth and very silky. Good for practicing hairdos on.
