I bought this for my first gen 12.9. The one I'm replacing was much lighter and better balanced, but finding keyboard cases for it is difficult. Which is really amazing because the iPad works like I bought it yesterday. I bought it in 2016. Either way… the weight of the iPad makes everything tip over backwards. Unless I tilt it less than 90 degrees. The keyboard works great. I love backlight. The battery life is very, very impressive. I don't even turn off the switch and it lasts for weeks (I don't use it every day, but several days a week several hours a day. For the price, backlight, solid build I would say 5 stars. However, for the size and weight of my iPad I give it 4 stars, if I had more options in this price range I would honestly return this laptop and it offers excellent screen protection when closed.
