Read reviews and order. I usually have 9.5/10, bought 8.5. The shoe itself fit perfectly from toe to heel, however the toe area was very narrow. If I order a 9 I feel like it would slide off my heel all night but would be more comfortable in the toe box so it's a tough choice. If I were to do it again I would buy 9 and just do the heel padding. In terms of comfort, they are not at all. They met the deadline as my night consisted mostly of sitting at the dining table at our work holiday party, but the walk to the car was awful and I decided to walk barefoot through a 20 degree parking lot rather than take another step. Of course, half of that was due to the lack of toe room. The quality of the shoes is great! For real. the photos don't do it justice. The compliments I received were constant and all my ladies at work raved about the brilliance. In that regard, they were the perfect choice. Generally I would buy another pair in a size 9 which is only 1/2 size smaller than usual. I would say if you have a wide foot just go 1/2 size down. But if you have a normal or narrow foot, full-length down will do. If I was a size 9, that would be an absolute win for me. Unfortunately the sizes are so wrong that it is so difficult for the consumer to find the right size. But really great shoes if you have the right size.
