Review on Space-Saving Wall Mounted Bike Storage Rack - Ideal for Home or Garage - Patented Bike Holder/Bicycle Hanging System, Powder Coat Finish by Diane Willis

Excellent fixings, a slight bend in the metal from the hydraulics.

I really like these mounts, they were easy to fit and the instructions were clear. Both bikes I got on were under the weight limit. However, be aware that the handlebars may be too wide. I had to play around with bike suspension methods to get it right, but once I figured out a way to place them, it was easy. The hydraulics must be powerful enough to flex the thick metal plate it is attached to. The first bike I hung up (not the red one) is decently light, I installed the bracket, hung it up and then moved on to the red bike (it's a lot heavier but under the limit). When I had the second post attached to the wall, I noticed that the plate of the first post (which now holds the lighter bike) was buckled. I've checked the instructions 4 times and I'm 100% sure I installed it correctly. I hung a second red bike, and indeed the panel flexed slightly as the bike was raised and lowered. Like I said, they didn't flex any more than you see in the photos, but that's still an issue. The time will show. I think it's because of the asymmetric suspension and the VERY powerful hydraulics. I would like the hydraulics to be centered on the metal plate, or a more symmetrical design to balance torque. Look at my photos of curves. I still recommend this product, overall it feels very durable, can lift and hold a heavy beach pleasure boat, protects your bike from falling over and allows you to walk/park under your bikes.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
