It worked well as a food tray for on the go. You can't guarantee it will lie flat once it's attached to the headrest (hanging from the headrest at the back of the seat), so the stability and angle of the tray are questionable. This is enough in a pinch, but don't expect it to include a drink. Maybe it could be made more durable, but I can't tell you how. Maybe duct tape? Some of the organizer pockets with small elastic bands didn't leave much room for toys or accessories, but they did fit my son's iPad (the device's flatness allowed it to fit snugly) but not large or round items.
