I recently bought a Linksys Max Stream ac3000-re9000 Wi-Fi Extender to expand my wireless network with a Linksys ac4000 Max Stream router. The router is in the garage under the house by the window, and the power strip is about 75 feet across the driveway in another building (steel) by the window. Once setup (wireless) we have an excellent signal, speed, and coverage indoors and out. This product has 5 stars. I read many reviews about the pros and cons of this product. Extender does exactly what Linksys says it does. It also automatically switches from the router to the extender or vice versa if the signal is lost. You need to make sure it's configured correctly.
