Review on Mylec Nylon Replacement Composite Shafts by Jeremiah Vishwasrao

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Better than the original, but still not quite.

It's a huge improvement over the hole design on the top of the blade, feels solid enough in the hands, and feels solid enough for street hockey. Unfortunately, it is still too flexible for outdoor use in the summer months. It's good to handle the racquet with, but when you try to throw the puck/ball the blade flexes too much to be accurate or make a powerful shot. If they could figure out a way to make the blade out of a stronger material for the top of the blade and fuse it with maybe an inch or an inch and a half thick nylon material for the bottom, it would work much better. That being said I've been playing hockey for a while and we play quite competitively so this should be fine for younger/inexperienced players or for a really casual driveway game with kids or something.
