I was hesitant to buy this water bottle because I read some reviews about the silicone part under the cap becoming moldy after a few weeks. I've been using this product almost daily for 3 months and haven't had any mold issues. I wash the bottle and cap in the dishwasher after each use and then let the bottle and cap air dry. I don't close the lid and put the water bottle in the cabinet until the product is completely dry. I also don't leave water in the bottle for more than a day. I haven't had any problems so far and am happy with my purchase. I dropped the bottle several times and it didn't break.
