Review on Rework Station for Desoldering and Soldering by Greg Mahoney
Not my usual configuration but works reliably
I usually buy a soldering station with the reverse configuration (hot air on the right side). But the one I bought only lasted two weeks before it blew. This new block is a little slower to heat up, but I think it will last longer. Everything else works great.
