Review on 🔍 Hydronix SPC45-1001 Polyester Pleated Filter by Kyle Rock

I use this filter to replace a 1 micron Hydronix carbon block filter. I had a 5 micron Hydronix SPC-45-2005 filter before the CBF, but particles smaller than 5 microns were clogging the carbon block so the flow was very low for several weeks and the CBF filter was replaced had to become. . It's expensive so I put this 1 micron filter in place of the 5 micron filter and removed the CBF. The result: These 1 micron hydronics deliver high flow rates and water as pure as CBF. Of course, this filter can't remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and submicron biological organisms (BIOs), but that's not a problem in my water, which comes from a deep aquifer. If I need VOC and BIO filtration I can put a CBF in a CBF case and it will last much longer than before. After a month of using a 1 micron Hydronix filter, the water is flowing fast, clear and odorless. . I have a clear filter housing (it's worth the money btw) and I can see that the water on the source side of the filter is slightly cloudy when viewed with a beam of light, showing that the filter is effective in preventing these micron particles from entering . filter output. When the filter was first installed, microscopic air bubbles trapped in the filter material caused the water to appear cloudy for a while. After a few days of normal household water use, bubbles no longer appeared in the water from the filter. As such, these are well-constructed and durable washable filters, so it's a good deal in the long run. I use two and replace them when they need cleaning, then clean the ones I took out for the next swap.
