Please read because this is crazy! I ordered Picture Keeper Pro 500GB. I have an old laptop with over 40,000 (yes, 40,000) photos and I wanted to save them and try to organize them. One of the main problems is that I can't access the internet with my laptop because it's so old that it requires a dial-up or wired internet connection (which I no longer have). It's an old laptop that I don't use anymore, but then again it contains a lot of my photography history. When I plugged in Picture Keeper, it didn't recognize the device. I called support and they advised me to remove the back cover, make sure all parts are connected, then reconnect to the laptop and it worked. BUT, when I clicked start, it launched and started looking for my photos. He found a total of over 40,000 photos, but did not save them. I called support and spoke to Tony. He went through all the options to help me figure it out. He once joked that when he contacted me again on my cell phone, he asked if I was in the Atlanta, Georgia area because of my phone number, and I am. He told me where they were and we found that I was only 10 miles from their headquarters. After several days of unsuccessful attempts to get the device to save my photos, I drove to their office and met with Tony. Tony tried everything he could and ended up replacing my device with another of the same model and it worked. The purpose of this review is to encourage the purchase of the device directly from the Picture Keeper website as I purchased my device from Revain and it was shipped. Third party and I feel lucky to have been able to ask the company for help. Tony was brilliant and since he couldn't connect to my laptop remotely like most people I might have been SOL but after speaking to Tony I'm sure they would have done whatever it took to fix the problem remedy! I was very impressed and very grateful! Great product and supported by great staff!
