I rarely review products but I advise friends and family to buy this one so I decided to post it. I love this product. It was the only thing that helped my kid learn math facts. The ONLY negative thing I can say about it is that the screen is (as everyone says) small and hard to read and the font looks like it's from the early computer days. I bought this online from Revain for my kid who needed to learn 'math facts' about multiplication and hadn't mastered it yet and her class was moving on to more advanced stuff that was based on multiplication. I've tried flashcards and many apps, some free and some paid, and nothing seemed to work - or the app was fun but didn't help me learn math facts. I ended up buying it after the tutor said the only problem was memorizing math facts - suddenly I realized all the math tutor money was so much more than just buying this educational toy. I bought it and within a week my child had almost completely mastered the multiplication tables 0-12. She already had about half of those numbers, but she was stuck on the other half. Every day I force her to use Math Shark - to be honest she would prefer other less academic games but she wants and is still very happy to play this product. I have her make different numbers on her own (level 1 or 2) and then the machine measures her and I record the time on a chart so she can see how much better she is doing with each number learned. Positive affirmation and the realization that getting good at math facts is actually a pleasure snowballed and her confidence and attitude towards math skyrocketed. I'm really happy - my kid has almost caught up and I feel like this product really saved us and will make this school year so much easier. I recommend this to everyone. We haven't tried Division yet, but it's coming next. For future versions of Shark Math, I think the company that does this should update the screen (to make it easier to read) and add a "reminder" feature so the machine keeps track of how fast the kids are learning, and makes it easier to use if possible (not impossible to use but I had to read the instructions). But overall I'm very happy and glad we found it.
