At first I was disappointed. This is NOT a battery powered toothbrush, this is a battery powered timer toothbrush on the handle. The bristles and the brush head do not move. Otherwise it's a very good toothbrush with a small smooth head and soft rounded bristles and I will continue to use it. The timer is a fun feature if you don't mind that it's super bright, makes the pen a little awkward to hold and only lasts a minute. Just press the button again if you need another minute. I won't buy it again because I like battery powered devices, but it might be just what you need to encourage a young child to brush their teeth more and not hurt their mouth. PS In case you're wondering, I'm an adult, but I like children's toothbrushes because they're usually more comfortable to use.
