After 3 months of use, I woke up this morning to find all of my fish were dead and swimming in my 75 gallon tank. My favorite goldfish (I've had it for over 3 years) died along with a few others. I was devastated. I was thinking of some problem with the zucchini poisoning I gave the plecos last night. After some heartache I went to the aquarium to clean the dead fish and the moment I touched the water it was like... << I don't know what to say>>> I read the thermometer and it was over 105F. The temperature of the water rose all last night. I remember hearing an unusual rippling sound coming from the aquarium last night while watching my late night TV shows. I had no idea my fish was live cooked. Oh my God. I can't imagine them going to their deaths. The heater claims to be UL listed with auto shut off. But little did I know they had a problem with the thermostat and would keep heating the water instead of turning off the unit. At the very least, they could have a fail-safe mechanism to keep the fish from cooking that way. It is a pity. My return window has just passed 30 days. I don't want a refund, but I want others to understand what can happen to your favorite fish. It is a severe psychological trauma when you see the little creatures you fed last night swimming lifeless the next morning.
