Are you type A? Recommended

First, for aesthetic and hygienic reasons, I'm a fan of Decora-type switches and sockets (they're much easier to clean than toggle switches). I've gone through two houses so far, replacing switches with decoras in one and replacing dumb decoras with zwave decoras in the other. This type of work requires removing wall panels. If they're disabled anyway, why not replace them with something better? I personally like the look of the Decora style switches for the cleaner look, but this is partially offset by the exposed screw wall plates. Even if you're the A-type making sure the screwdriver slots line up perfectly and making sure the paint doesn't chip on the screw, it still doesn't look good. The (relatively) expensive solution is screwless decorative panels. Generally they are MUCH more expensive than regular panels and can get insanely expensive once you start getting 3, 4 and 5 post panels. I've bought several brands and apart from a few minor differences in style or function they are all very similar. I came across this pack of Faith Electric SWP1-WH-01 Caps and was surprised at the cheap price. how are they Well, here are the criteria that I think are important for such a product: 1.) Color matching - this may seem like a bit of an exaggeration, but I think we're talking about a product with a purely aesthetic purpose. . If the wall plate doesn't fit the relatively large area of the Decora switch, it will look cluttered and unsightly. In this case, the Faith Electric records match up pretty much exactly. 2.) thickness. Because the panel design consists of a base plate and a cover that snaps onto it, it is significantly thicker than a standard Decora wall panel. The thicker the board, the more likely the switches will look recessed rather than flush. Also, and this is not necessarily a matter of mounting the panel, the electrician may not have mounted all the switches in the multibox so that they are all perfectly flat. The thicker the plate, the more visible the horizontal switch shaft becomes. All the panels I've bought are 5mm to 7mm thick. Faith Electric plates are 7mm thick. It's not that bad, but in general I'd say the thinner the better. 3.) Ease of use. It may seem strange that this is the lowest selection criterion, but despite the fact that you use the switches every day, you will rarely get the opportunity to remove the wall panels. Faith Electric platters are great, basically the same design as most other screwless platters. It's nice to see Decora screwless wall panels going mainstream as I haven't seen many in real homes. This is a nice aesthetic upgrade in my opinion and is now cheaper than ever to implement in your home. highlighted.
