This card does not disappoint in terms of speed. Used in my A7rIII, it quickly clears the buffer and allows me to shoot those 42MP raw files without fear of buffering. However, I highly doubt that making this map "hard" is worth it. I don't know if I've ever felt the need to stand on an SD card or keep it in the freezer. In my experience, most SD cards are waterproof, so that's not a selling point for me, and while the read-only switch could theoretically break, I don't know anyone who has had this problem. What was the problem with this card, it gets stuck. Which, considering this is a Sony card and I'm using it in a Sony camera, just doesn't feel right. You would think they tested these cards in their own cameras before selling them? It has never stuck so strongly that I feared for the safety of my camera when removing it, so I will not be returning it, just letting these cards appear unpolished. Considering this is a premium product, I feel like I can be picky about silly little things like fit and finish. Therefore, I will most likely not buy these cards again.
