My desk has a small ledge on the back (as shown in the picture) and so I was very concerned that the clip would not work with this stand (because the lip would disturb); However, I am happy to report that this is still the case. If the rim was bigger it would be a problem, but I was able to rotate the platter on this clamp so that it was almost flush. I like this stand because it frees up a lot of desk space and also allows me to mount the monitor a bit higher than the included stand allows. I can also adjust the angle, rotation etc very easily which is great. Setting up this stand was a little tricky mainly due to the training/heavy weight; You'll need a different size Allen key (included) to adjust anything, and especially with the monitor in place it's a little tricky to access the various adjustment screws. My biggest problem with the installation was that the plate that attaches to the monitor was not rotated properly and was almost impossible to adjust. However, attaching the monitor gave me the leverage I needed, and then I was able to move it, albeit with effort. I wish this part was a little simpler, but everything else about it works fine.
