SOUND QUALITY. Audio quality from the microphone is clear, although speaker sound is a bit tinny (compared to radios like the Baofeng BF-888S). PROBLEM. Aside from the range - I would prefer more distance but may not be able to achieve that given the obstacles around me - the only issue I have is that when using an in-ear headset the sound from the mic isn't as loud or is strong . The same in-ear headphones used on other radios will play the same volume regardless of whether you speak into the device's mic or the headset's mic. but when using the same headset on the RT-22, the microphone is noticeably quieter/muffled. Maybe that's how the microphone jack works.
