I bought two of these radios. They work as expected. With the included antenna you can reach about 200-250 yards at full power. With a more optimal antenna, they work like any other full-featured CB radio. Even if you can only use one full-size antenna on one device, performance will be greatly improved. When you need range and portability, UHF FRS walkie talkies are for you. These radios use AM at 27MHz, which allows them to "talk" farther than UHF FM in no-line-of-sight environments. If you're looking for range with large antennas, this might be your best bet. Don't expect much from the included antennas.
