I have a black labrador dog mixed with chow chow, this is a virtual fur factory no matter how many times I brush it it constantly leaves a trail of wool which I often leave because it's quite exhausting to leave the house every day and set up the corded vacuum cleaner. No longer. It's so comfortable and picks up dog hair so well that I use it almost every day. The standard battery included in the kit is enough to vacuum two carpeted flights of stairs. I bought an extra battery and charged one fully so I never run out of power. It deserves 5 stars for its primary purpose as a motorized vacuum with agitator for picking up pet hair from carpets. One star less for lack of better and more useful tools and attachments. It has less suction power and much less noise than my BLACK+DECKER BDH2010LP Platinum cordless handheld vacuum with 20 volt Li-Ion battery. However, this wasn't a problem when picking up pet hair from the carpet with a hammer, but it was a minor problem when pulling hair out of carpet crevices with the edging tool. Overall I am very happy with it as it has made my life so much better. easier and definitely cleaner. As long as he keeps working. I'm confident in that as I currently have 8 B&D tools that all work flawlessly, two are almost 50 years old. Update: After using it for two weeks, I upgraded it to five stars mainly due to ease of use. A third-party 7-amp battery can get me through a week on a single charge, just touching up small areas in my duplex townhouse as needed.
