I This arrived in a plain cardboard box with styrofoam sheet packing. I am surprised it arrived safely . . . most in this price range have molded styrofoam.This is a beautiful crock and exactly as pictured. It has a heavy weight, and a smooth finish. The outside has subtle banding. The glaze has perfect coverage and the colors match quite well. The inside is completely glazed as well. The sides are equal width and it is perfectly round.The only issue I have is that this doesn't have any feet to protect the surface it sits on. The bottom does have some stray bits of ceramic that are sharp. I knocked them off with a wood file and added the rubber feet, but it would have been better if that had not been necessary.
